OAKHAM - Robert “Bob” Lee Lajoie, 62, of Oakham, passed away suddenly on March 13, 2023, while recovering from surgery for lung cancer. Bob was born on February 17, 1961, to Lionel and Earlene Lajoie in Worcester.
After graduating from Quabbin Regional High School in 1979, Bob spent time at Tri-State University in Indiana where he ran track. Bob would go on to join his father, Lee, at Eagle Transport. Following this, Bob and his brother, Richard, founded Lajoie Brothers Transport Company, a successful trucking company they ran together for over 25 years.
Bob met his high school sweetheart and future wife, Lisa Brown, in 1977. They were married for 36 wonderful years. Together they have 3 children, Samuel, Eric, and Abigail.
Bob lived life to the fullest and was a kid at heart. He was often the only adult playing wiffleball or football at family gatherings. He cherished his family and especially enjoyed trips with them to Cocoa Beach, FL, Cape Cod and Bar Harbor, ME. He was an active member of the Oakham Congregational Church and served as a trustee for many years.
