HOLDEN – Robert A. Nelson, 63, of 45 Sawyer Lane, died Thursday, November 11, 2004, at home after a battle with cancer.
He leaves his mother with whom he lived, Doris R. (DeFosse) Nelson; two brothers, Richard E. Nelson of Cherry Valley and Kenneth E. Nelson of Eldorado, Florida. He was born in Worcester, son of George K. Nelson, and lived in Holden most of his life. He served in the Air Force during the Vietnam Era.
Mr. Nelson worked as a printer for Deerfield Press Company for 35 years and enjoyed gardening and woodcarving.
The funeral service for Robert will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 15, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, 162 Webster Street, Worcester. Calling hours are from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, November 14, in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
