Robert F. "Bubba" Adams

Robert F. Adams, “Bubba”, 94, beloved husband of the late Catherine (Simpson) Adams, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 3, 2024, at UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus. Born and raised in Killingly, CT, he was a son of the late Ernest and Vera (Cameron) Adams.

Bob was educated in Danielson, CT and graduated from East Hartford High School. He went on to enjoy a long career as a machinist at Rexnord, Inc. Together he and Kay spent countless hours dancing with the Fun Times Squares, the Sutton Country Squares and the Triple C Squares. He dedicated his life to his family, his friends and his community.

He will be lovingly missed and remembered by his sons, William Adams of Worcester, Franklin Adams of Auburn, and Russell Adams of Dudley; his daughter, Tammy Savino of Webster; his stepchildren, Gary Bahosh, Teresa Kowalczyk, Cynthia Kowalczyk and Doreen Dziokonski; his twenty-two grandchildren, including his grandson and loving caregiver, Nicholas Robert Maider and his partner, Alicia Wilson; and many great-grandchildren, In addition to his wife of 35 years, Catherine, he was predeceased by his son, Larry Adams; his daughter, Deborah George; and his two brothers, Harold Adams and Chester Adams.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 11 at Hillside Cemetery in Sterling. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Massachusetts Law Enforcement Memorial Foundation, mlemf.org or to the Sterling Senior Center.
