STERLING/CLEARWATER, FL – Roxanne R. (Long) Prino, 47, of Clearwater, FL, formerly of Sterling, died on Monday, June 1, 2009 in Morton Plant Hospital, Clearwater after a brief illness.
She leaves her husband of 7 years, Richard J. Prino; a son, Christopher A. Chaffee of Clearwater; a daughter, Jessica L. Chaffee of Sterling; her parents, Albert J. and Marjorie (Reed) Long of Sterling; a brother, Brian J. Long of Eden, VT; a sister, Michele A. Albino of West Boylston; and two nephews and a niece. She was born in Worcester and lived most of her life in Sterling, before moving to Clearwater eight years ago.
Roxanne graduated from Wachusett Regional High School in 1980. For several years she owned and operated a day care service in West Boylston, and most recently worked for Family Dollar in Florida. She was a member of the First Church in Sterling, enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 6th in the Miles-Sterling Funeral Home, 100 Worcester Road, (Rte. 12) Sterling. A Memorial Service for Roxanne will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 7th in the First Church in Sterling, 6 Meeting House Hill Road, Sterling. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Morton Plant Mease Foundation, 1200 Druid Road South, Clearwater, FL, 33756 or to the Sterling Animal Shelter, 17 Laurelwood Road, Sterling MA 01564.
