PRINCETON – Priscilla R. (Jewett) Foresteire, 75, of Sterling Road, died in her home on Sunday, January 2, 2011, surrounded by her loving family after a long battle with cancer.
She leaves her husband of 55 years, Edward P. Foresteire; a daughter, Christine M. Lynch and her husband James of Princeton; three sons, Edward P. Foresteire and his wife Jane of Spencer, Stephen P. Foresteire of Greenfield and James A. Foresteire of Falmouth; a sister, Pearl King of Utah; 10 grandchildren, Meghan, Adam, Elizabeth, Rebecca, Anthony, Stephanie, Alexandra, Jason, Erik and Julianna; and three great-grandchildren, Abby, Hunter and Ella. She was born in Holden and raised in West Boylston, the daughter of Lawrence Jewett and Ella (Phelps) Jewett Bolster, and lived 52 years in Princeton.
Priscilla graduated from Major Edwards High School in West Boylston and later worked and retired from Reed Rolled Thread Die Co. in Holden. She was a member of Prince of Peace Church, the Princeton Tennis Club where she was the winner of two Labor Day tennis tournaments, the Red Hat Society, Neighborhood Club, The Club, Princeton Parent Teacher's Association, and the Recreation Committee all in Princeton. Priscilla's greatest joy in life was her family and being at home with her husband, working in her garden and going for walks with family and friends on Long Sands Beach in York, Maine.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, January 6th at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. The funeral will be held on Friday, January 7th, from the funeral home with a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Prince of Peace Church, 5 Worcester Road, Princeton. Spring burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Princeton. For her love of tennis, memorial donations may be made to the Dan Hart Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 58, Princeton, MA 01541.
