HOLDEN – Rita T. Tremblay, 77, formerly of 89 Princeton St., Jefferson, died Saturday, August 21, 2004, in Umass Memorial Health Care, Worcester an illness.
She leaves a sister, Lucy Welsh of Holden; two brothers, Leo A. Tremblay of Jefferson and Bernard H. Tremblay of Holden; nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Three sisters, Alice Desrosier, Loretta Tremblay and Sister Flora Tremblay, and three brothers, Norman, Robert and Anthony Tremblay, predeceased her. She was born in Jefferson, the daughter of Arthur L. and Lydia (Desjardins) Tremblay and lived here all her life.
Miss Tremblay was a bookkeeper at Riley Stoker Corporation in Worcester for many years, retiring in 1995. Previously, she worked at Crompton and Knowles in Worcester. She graduated from Holden High School and was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Jefferson.
The funeral for Miss Tremblay will be held Wednesday, August 25, from the Miles Funeral Home 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden with a Mass at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 25 in St. Mary’s Church, 114 Princeton Street, Jefferson. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, 1340 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, August 24, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Activities Fund at Holden Nursing Home, 32 Mayo Drive, Holden, MA 01520; or St. Mary’s Church, 114 Princeton Street, P.O.
