WORCESTER – Rita (Blyden) Roth, age 92, died peacefully on Monday, March 24th, 2025, at the Jewish Healthcare Center, surrounded by the loving presence of her family. Born in Worcester, Rita was the daughter of Max and Mollie (Mazer) Blyden and was a lifelong resident of Worcester.
What our Mom valued most was her family, friends and her faith. She embraced and welcomed all who shared her values of kindness and generosity. She put her heart and soul into how she lived her life and we are forever grateful that we were blessed by her loving wisdom and strength. Hers was a life well lived.
Rita will be lovingly missed and remembered by her four devoted daughters, Debbie-Ann Sklar and her husband, Daniel of Bedford, NH, Cindy Roth-Karr and her partner, Paul Krakower of River Vale, NJ, Darlene Roth of Worcester, and Bambi Roth-Nuki and her husband, Max of Newport, RI; her beloved grandchildren, Adam Sklar and his wife, Lindsay, Stephanie Rapp and her husband, Gary, Nikki Roth, Max Roth, Amanda Karr, Mollyana Nuki and Tava Nuki; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Asher and Lake Sklar, Olivia, Cullen, Griffin and Skylar Rapp. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 54 years, Norman A. Roth in 2006, and her brother, Sydney Blyden.
Family and friends will gather to honor Rita’s memory at her Funeral Service at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, March 26th at the Central Mass Chabad, 22 Newton Ave., Worcester. Interment will follow at Worcester Hebrew Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Auburn. Arrangements are in the care of Miles Funeral Home of Holden. Memorial Observances will be announced.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to the Central Mass Chabad, 22 Newton Ave., Worcester, MA 01602 ( www.centralmasschabad.com ), or the Jewish Healthcare Center, 629 Salisbury Street, Worcester, MA 01609 ( www.jhccenter.org ).
