Biography
PRINCETON - Rita A. (Raymond) Lemoine, 74, passed away at home on Friday, January 31, 2014, surrounded by her loving family, after an illness. She was born in South Grafton, the daughter of Victor P. and Leona A. (LeFave) Raymond and had lived in Princeton since 1977.
She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Girard A. Lemoine; three sons, John A. Lemoine and his wife, Kathleen of Princeton, Mark R. Lemoine and his wife, Gail of Holden and Joel G. Lemoine of Holden; a daughter, Kristin M. Lemoine-Tupper and her husband, Robert of Holden; a brother, Roger Raymond of Zephyrhills, FL; ten grandchildren, who she adored, Kevin, Patrick, Abbey, Jaimee, Michael, Elizabeth, Sean, Cameron, Madelyn and Elijah; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, George Raymond and a sister, Ruth Raymond.
Rita was a teller for many banks in the Worcester County area. She was an active member of the Prince the Peace Church in Princeton and devoted her time to the church fair, cooking for church functions and serving meals from her own food booth. She volunteered for several different programs, including the Outreach Program, the Veterans Shelter and Jeremiah’s Inn. She enjoyed traveling and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her loving family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Rita’s family from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, February 3rd, in the Miles-Sterling Funeral & Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road, Sterling. The funeral service for Rita will be held on Tuesday, February 4, from the funeral home with a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at the Prince of Peace Church, 1 Worcester Road, Princeton, MA 01541. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in South Grafton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Prince of Peace Church, Outreach Program.
