WORCESTER – Draper Ringquist, 78, of Green Farms Road died peacefully on Sunday, December 25, 2011 at UMass Memorial Healthcare-Memorial Campus, Worcester. He was born in Worcester on May 22, 1933, the son of David and Dorothy (Bassett) Ringquist, and lived in Worcester all of his life.
Mr. Ringquist leaves his wife of 52 years, Dawn M. (Anderson) Ringquist. He is also survived by his two sons, Dana Ringquist of Worcester, and Dale Ringquist and his wife Amy and their two children, David and Amanda, also of Worcester. Mr. Ringquist served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He later worked for the Mass. Department of Highway Safety maintenance department at the Mass. State Police barracks in Holden. He enjoyed fishing and reading automobile magazines, but loved his family above all else. He will be greatly missed.
A private graveside service will be held at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 330 Congress Street, 5th Floor, Boston, MA 02210. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.
