Richard T. Wyatt

April 6, 1946 — June 10, 2018

HOLDEN – Richard T. Wyatt, 72, passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at Tuffs Medical Center. He was born in Worcester, the son of Herbert R. and Inez (Swenson) Wyatt and had lived most of his life in Holden. He leaves his loving his wife of 47 years, Cynthia A. (Piper) Wyatt; his two sons, Mark R. Wyatt and his wife, Danielle of West Boylston and Scott T. Wyatt of Holden; his sister, Janet Wilson and her husband, Charles of Hudson; his three precious grandchildren, Allison, Thomas and Jonas; and nieces and nephews. Rick graduated from Wachusett Regional High School in 1964. He then graduated from Pratt Institute with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering and later earned his Master’s degree in Business Administration from Anna Maria College. He was a senior cost analysis for MCR Federal, LLC in Bedford, MA before retiring in 2016. Rick was an all-around athlete receiving many MVP awards and all-star nominations for multiple sports in high school and college. In 1988 he was inducted into the WRHS hall of fame for basketball and baseball. Rick remained active in youth sports in Holden, was a past president of the Chaffin’s Recreation Association, and coached basketball and baseball. He also had a passion for golf and, once retired, played in leagues with teachers and friends from WRHS. Rick will be sadly missed by many. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Rick’s family from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 14th at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. A memorial service honoring his life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 15th in Immanuel Lutheran Church, 346 Shrewsbury Street, Holden. A private committal service will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, P.O.
