Richard 'Dick' Woolson

Biography
WORCESTER – Richard “Dick” Woolson, 91, of Worcester, died on Monday, May 25, 2015 in Saint Vincent Hospital.
He leaves his wife of 64 years, Pauline (Weiner) Woolson; two sons, Larry Woolson and his significant other, Diane Ward of Worcester and Steve Woolson and his significant other, Deborah Briggs of Worcester; two grandchildren, Rachel S. Woolson and her significant other, T. J. O’Connor, and Daniel J. Woolson. He was predeceased by his sister, Audrey Price.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II serving in major battles including the Battle of the Bulge. He was awarded five bronze stars, a silver star, Invasion Arrowhead with Oak Leaf Clusters and the French Legion of Honor.
He was a member of the Irving Yarock Post #32 of the Jewish War Veterans, B’Nai Brith and the Man Talk Group at the Jewish Community Center.
After the war, he began work as a salesman for several years at Palley Office Supply where he met his wife, Pauline. He owned and operated his own office supplies manufacturer’s representative business for many years, until his retirement.
He then owned his own manufacturer’s representative business of office supplies for many years until his retirement.
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 10:00 A.M. ON WEDNESDAY, MAY 27, AT TEMPLE EMANUEL SINAI, 661 SALISBURY STREET IN WORCESTER UNDER THE DIRECTION OF RICHARD PERLMAN OF MILES FUNERAL HOME OF HOLDEN. Burial will be in B’Nai Brith Cemetery in Worcester.
Memorial Observance will be announced at the time of the funeral service.
Memorial contributions may be made the charity of the donor’s choice.
