Richard J. Siemaszko

HOLDEN – Richard J. Siemaszko, 67, passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2021, at Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester after a short battle with cancer.

He leaves his son, Thomas P. Siemaszko of Waltham; his daughter, Lisa E. Siemaszko and her partner, Brian Macauley of Boston; his sisters, Laura Adams of Tarpon Springs, FL and his twin, Regina Siemaszko of Worcester; his grandson, Harrison; his nieces, Johanna and Rachel; and his nephew, Daniel. He was predeceased by his nephew, Antonio.

Richard was born and raised in Worcester, the son of Vincent and Fallina (Sokol) Siemaszko. After his mother passed at a young age, he was raised by his grandmother (Babcia) and later by family friends, the DiPilato’s, who treated him like one of their own. Richard studied carpentry and graduated from Worcester Boys Trade School in 1971. He was a union carpenter for over 30 years with Worcester Local 107 before retiring in 2003. He loved family gatherings, especially ones with his cousins, was devoted to his faith, and always willing to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed Boston sports, fishing, and his Polish heritage.

Richard’s children would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to family and friends for their support, especially the staff at Golden Pond, Milford Regional Medical Center, and Dana Farber for their compassion and care over his last few years.

Relatives and close friends are invited to attend calling hours from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, February 19th in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 20th with a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church, 114 Princeton Road, Jefferson. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, appropriate social distancing and wearing of a mask will be required at all locations.
