Richard R. Dahlquist

HOLDEN – Richard “Dick” R. Dahlquist, 67, of 14 Briarcliff Lane, died on Saturday, August 11, 2007, in the Saint Francis Home, Worcester, after a long battle with cancer.

A life long resident of Holden and a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War, he was the son of the late Thure H. and Greta W. (Wennerstrom) Dahlquist. He leaves his best friends, Karen and Britt Sjoblad of Holden; his twin brother, Robert Dahlquist and his wife Betty (Aho) of Atkinson, NH; a nephew, Craig Dahlquist of Hampstead, NH; a niece, Christine (Dahlquist) Abrams and her husband Stephen of Pleasant Hill, CA; and a grand niece, Lindsay Abrams of Pleasant Hill, CA.

Dick graduated from Wachusett Regional High School and the New England School of Accounting. He was an accountant for Chaffin’s Garage for many years and did private accounting from his home. He was an avid sportsman and was active in the Nimrod League of Holden.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 15th, at Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue (Rte. 56), Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden is directing arrangements.
