Richard Niewiera

STERLING – Richard E. Niewiera, 70, formerly of Worcester, passed away at home on Monday, February 6, 2012. He was born in Worcester, the son of Joseph J. and Victoria T. (Pietrynczak) Nevera and graduated from St. Mary’s High School.
Richard worked for the Department of Mental Health as a patient reimbursement investigator in Westborough and was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church in Worcester. He enjoyed buying, selling and was an avid collector of many things.
A funeral Mass celebrating Richard’s life was held on Friday, February 10, at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward Street, Worcester. Burial followed in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Sterling Animal Shelter, Inc., 17 Laurelwood Road, Sterling, MA 01564.
Funeral arrangements are under the care of Miles-Sterling Funeral and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road, Sterling.
