Richard Thomas Harrison

STERLING - Richard T. Harrison, 79, passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2021, after an illness. He was born in Rochester, NY, the son of Robert and Marion Harrison. He had lived in Marshfield, MA, with his former wife, Nancy, before moving to Sterling, MA 20 years ago.

He leaves his children, Maureen Harrison and her wife, Jennifer Ulicnik; Russell Harrison and his wife, Katheryn; Daniel Harrison and his wife, Christina; Janine Anctil and her husband, Kevin; his six grandchildren, Laura, Ryan, Violet, Graham, Sage and Forest; his sisters Eileen Reddy, Judith Myers, Carol Sirkus and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and his beloved dog, Toby.

Richard graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1966 with a Master's degree in business. He worked at Gillette in Boston before retiring in 2005. Richard was a member of St. Richard of Chichester Church and the Sterling Senior Center. He enjoyed boating, fishing, gardening, the beach, and a good Red Sox game.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, August 15th in the Miles-Sterling Funeral and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road, Sterling. Funeral services for Richard will be held on Monday, August 16th with a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Richard of Chichester Church, 4 Bridge Street, Sterling. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
