Biography
PAXTON – Richard D. Faucher, 84, longtime Paxton resident, passed away peacefully at home in the presence of his loving family on Tuesday, August 1, 2017. Richard was born in Worcester, a son of Wilfred and Stella (Rock) Faucher, and attended Paxton schools. Richard was the owner and operator of Carlton Trucking Company for thirty-five years, retiring in 1995. He was a member of St. Columba Church in Paxton, the Worcester Lodge of Elks and the American Trucking Association. In his spare time, he enjoyed snow skiing, water skiing, snowmobiling, and white water river rafting. Richie played the organ and banjo, and took singing lessons later in life. He will be forever missed and remembered by his wife of 65 years, Elna L. (David) Faucher; his three sons, Ronald D. Faucher and his wife, Denise of Paxton, Don R. Faucher of Worcester and Michael P. Faucher and his wife, Ingrid of Bartlett, Illinois; his three grandchildren, Julie, Joshua and Nicholas; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Richard was predeceased by his two brothers, Donald Faucher and Robert Faucher. The family wishes to extend its deepest appreciation to the Jewish Healthcare family; particularly their loving and devoted hospice team. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 7, at St. Columba Church, 10 Richards Avenue, Paxton. Burial will follow at Mooreland Cemetery, 261 Richards Avenue, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Donor Services, P.O.
