Biography
STERLING – Richard A. Cove, 56, passed away Monday, February 12, 2018 after an illness. Born in Worcester, Richard was the son of the late Richard and Arlene (Sjoblad) Cove and lived in Sterling his entire life.Richard was a graduate of Monachusett Regional Vocational Technical School, class of 1979. He was a heavy equipment operator and worked for his family business in Sterling, Cove Construction Co. He loved working construction and was a union operator. He was selfless and giving by nature…always watching out for others. Richard touched the hearts of many and will be remembered as a loving family man and loyal friend.He is survived by his son, Daniel E. Cove of St. Croix, Virgin Islands; a brother, Michael Cove of Sterling; a granddaughter, Jakayla Walker; two nephews, Michael Cove, Jr. and his fiancé, Ali Houghton and Christopher Cove; and four nieces, Christina, Stephanie and Michelle Duplease and Madison Cove; and a close friend, Ann Marie Muckenstrom. Besides his parents, Richard is predeceased by a sister, Caroline A. Duplease. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Richard’s family from 4 to 7 pm on Friday, February 16, at Miles-Sterling Funeral and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Rd., Sterling, followed by a funeral service honoring his life at 7 pm.
