WEST BOYLSTON - Richard "Chip" K. Anderson, Jr. 50, of West Boylston, MA and Livingston, MT, died suddenly on Saturday, February 12, 2011. Richard was the son of Richard K. Anderson, Sr. and Eleanor M. Anderson (Jacobson) both deceased. Richard also leaves a sister, Cheryl Mitchell of Cary, NC.
Chip was a graduate of West Boylston High School. He attended Amherst College and received his Bachelor of Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester, MA. He also received his Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons in New York, N.Y.
Chip was most recently a physical therapist at Livingston Healthcare and Evergreen Health and Rehabilitation both of Livingston, MT. He organized balance screenings to the local community and served as Clinical Instructor for students attending regional physical therapy programs. Chip also worked at Valley Physical Therapy and Santa Cruz Medical Clinic, both in CA. Throughout his career, Chip participated in several speaker series and rehabilitation programs.
Chip was an avid photographer, fly fisherman and hiker. He most recently lived outside Yellowstone National Park and enjoyed long hikes observing and photographing the wildlife there.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 23rd, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. Donations in Richard's (Chip's) memory can be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701
