Richard 'Rick' A. Raymond

December 26, 1952 — May 19, 2014

HOLDEN – Richard “Rick” A. Raymond, 61, passed away on Monday, May 19, 2014 at Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester after an illness. He was born in Worcester, the son of John W. and Helen (France) Raymond.

He leaves his loving wife of 40 years, Lorraine D. (Comtois) Raymond; a son, Matthew J. Raymond of Holden; a brother, John F. Raymond of Massachusetts; two sisters, Martha T. Raymond and Jane A. Wefers, both of New Hampshire; several nephews, nieces, grand nieces, grand nephews and many close friends.

Rick was a sales representative for 20 years at Bose Corporation in Westborough. He was an avid New England sports fan and enjoyed Thursday Night Trivia and summers at the beach house in Maine. Rick had a zest for humor that brought a smile to your face especially when he was taking photographs. He was a member of St. Mary’s Church and was a devoted husband and father. He will be sadly missed by everyone that knew him.


Rick’s family would like to extend heartfelt appreciation for the care and compassion provided by his doctor, Vijay Kastori and his staff at UMass Memorial Medical Center and everyone at Bose Corporation for their friendship and support.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 22, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. Funeral services for Rick will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 23, in the funeral home. Burial will be private at Notre Dame Cemetery in Worcester. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to UMass Memorial Foundation, Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund, c/o UMass Medicine Development Office, 333 South Street, Shrewsbury, MA 01545.
