Biography
PRINCETON - Richard A. “Dick” Fatcheric, 74, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at UMass University Campus, Worcester following an almost yearlong battle with cancer. He was born in Syracuse, NY a son of the late Frank and Helen (Smolnycki) Fatcheric. Dick graduated from Alfred Agricultural Technical Institute in New York. He spent many years as a district sales manager for the Massey-Ferguson Tractor Company, handling farm equipment sales and later, as a manager for several construction equipment companies, including JCB, from where he retired. He loved being out in the field and meeting customers, always going out of his way to take care of his customers. Dick’s family and his faith were the center of his life. During his working years, he spent many hours travelling New England behind the wheel of a car. In his retirement, he and his wife crisscrossed our country by auto a number of times. They visited all 50 states and many national parks. He went on his final journey on January 18th, where he was escorted by Jesus to his final resting place. Dick leaves his beloved wife of 53 years, Dolores M. (Moore) Fatcheric; his four children, Robert Fatcheric and his wife, Michelle of Barre, Timothy Fatcheric and his wife, Bethann of Princeton, Thomas Fatcheric and his wife, Deborah of Weare, NH and Katherine Locke and her husband, Jeffrey of Princeton; his brother, Thomas Fatcheric of Ohio; his sister, Margaret Whitbread of Norfolk; his fourteen grandchildren, Amanda, Matthew and Natassja, Andrew, Heather and Ethan, Shelby, Benjamin, Olivia and Timothy as well as Sasha, Colin, Evan and Noah. Dick’s funeral will be held on Saturday, January 21, with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 11 a.m. at Prince of Peace Church, 1 Worcester Road, Princeton.
