WORCESTER - With great sadness, we announce that our beloved Reva Hurwitz, daughter of Samuel and Ida (Teitz) Greece passed away on July 24, 2021, in Delray Beach, Florida. Reva was born and raised in Worcester, MA, and was predeceased by her dear parents, and her sister, Rae Rosenberg. She leaves behind her treasured sisters and their husbands, Rosalind (Daisy) and Earl Skiest, and Sandy and Arnie Miliefsky, as well as her children, grandchildren, great-grandchild, and her companion Charles Goldfinger.
Reva's children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild were her most treasured blessings and they will cherish her memory forever. Reva was the devoted mother to her family: son Mark Hurwitz and daughter in law Martha Hurwitz of Barre, MA, daughter Rhonda Hayon and son in law Daniel Hayon of Boca Raton, FL, daughter Cheryl Lunder and son in law Michael Lunder of Swampscott, MA. Reva adored her grandchildren Rachel Hurwitz, Stephen Hurwitz, Davida Benedek and Shimon, Scott Lunder, Josh Lunder, and her great-grandchild Celia (Cece) Benedek. She was an adored cousin and deeply loved aunt to many nieces and nephews. Reva was formerly married to Robert Hurwitz, of blessed memory. Reva also cherished numerous friends in Massachusetts and Florida throughout her life.
Reva, a woman of valor, set the bar high for us to follow with her kindness, sweetness, and empathetic nature. Her support, nurturing love, and generosity blessed the lives of everyone who knew her and she was a friend to all. She took great pleasure hosting and preparing wonderful meals for family holidays and parties. Reva was a true lady of impeccable style and grace, known for her excellent taste and sense of fashionable style. Reva was beautiful both inside and out, and will be missed by all that were blessed to have her in their lives.
