Biography
WORCESTER - Rebecca "Betty" (Weiner) Greenberg, 94, of Worcester, passed away peacefully in the presence of her loving family on Monday, November 30, 2015 at the Jewish Healthcare Center in Worcester. Betty was the daughter of Morris and Rose (Feldman) Weiner and lived her entire life in Worcester.   Her husband of 54 years, Zellie Greenberg died in 1999. She leaves her three sons, Todd S. Greenberg and his wife, Pamela of Watertown, Joel N. Greenberg and his wife, Judith of Worcester and Stephen R. Greenberg and his wife, Marjorie of Worcester; two grandchildren, Benjamin H. Greenberg of Boston and Daniel M. Greenberg of Denver, Colorado. She is predeceased by a brother, Mike Weiner.   Family was the center of Betty's universe, and she cherished her role as wife, mother, grandmother and aunt. She will always be remembered for her positive outlook on life, her never ending willingness to help others, and her beautiful acts of loving kindness toward her family and friends.   The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to the entire team of professionals at the Jewish Healthcare Center. Special thanks to the 5th floor staff and to the JHC Hospice group for their truly exceptional care, dedication and compassion shown to Betty these past four years.   Funeral services and interment at B'nai Brith Cemetery are private. Memorial Observances will be held from 2:00 to 5:30 pm on Wednesday, December 2, at the Jewish Healthcare Center, 629 Salisbury St., Worcester with a Minyan service at 5 pm; and from 6:30 to 8:30 pm on Thursday, December 3, at the residence of Joel and Judith Greenberg in Worcester with a Minyan service at 8 pm. FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS ARE UNDER THE DIRECTION OF RICHARD PERLMAN OF THE MILES FUNERAL HOME.   In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the JHC Hospice, 629 Salisbury St., Worcester, MA 01609.To share a memory or offer an online condolence please visit our "Guest Book" here on our page.
