Biography
WORCESTER – Raymond “Butchy” W. Brouillette, Jr., 74, of Worcester, passed away on Monday, August 28, 2017 at UMass Memorial Medical Center- University Campus in Worcester. Born and raised in Worcester, Butchy was the son of the late Raymond W. and Mary Rose (Berry) Brouillette and lived for 44 years in Holden before recently moving back to Worcester. Butchy graduated from North High School and attended Worcester Junior College. He was in the Air Force National Guard located at Green Hill Park. Butchy was a Worcester police officer for several years and worked in sales for United Chevrolet, Diamond Chevrolet, George Luddy Chevrolet, and Edward Buick. He also owned and operated Ray’s Deli in Worcester and delivered flowers for Edith’s Flower Shop in Holden. Butchy loved being with his friends whether they were golfing, skiing, enjoying a meal, or carousing on Shrewsbury Street. He was known for his contagious smile and engaging sense of humor. A fabulous story teller, he was also the subject of many colorful stories that addressed his spirited personality. Butchy’s family meant the world to him. His sister was his best friend, his children always made him proud, and his grandchildren, and favorite niece and nephew continually brought him joy. He will be lovingly remembered and missed by his two daughters, Brandy Brouillette of Beverly and Niki Brouillette of South Dartmouth; his sister, Denise Brouillette-Jacobson and her husband, Allan of Grafton; three grandchildren, Jameson Cardillo, Sebastian and Gabrielle Brouillette; his sister-in-law, Susanne Rubenstein and her husband, Richard “Skip” Knight of Princeton; his niece and nephew, Jaclyn and Michael Jacobson; and Anne Dodson of Shrewsbury, who he lovingly considered his third daughter. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Butchy's family from 4 to 7 pm on Thursday, August 31, at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am on Friday, September 1, at St. Mary's Church, 114 Princeton Street, Jefferson. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institue, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284.
