Raymond Armen Kopoyan

May 15, 1968 — January 28, 2023

New York - Raymond Armen Kopoyan, a beloved husband, father, son, and friend, passed away suddenly and tragically on January 28, 2023, at the young age of 54. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew him.

Armen was born and raised in the Armenian community in Worcester, Massachusetts. He later attended UMass Amherst and afterwards worked in Worcester. He then decided to make his home in Manhattan, where he devoted his life to his family and his career as an entrepreneur and executive.

In his personal life, Armen was a devoted father, husband, and friend. He was deeply devoted to his wife Yan and his three children, Oliver, Sophie, and Alexander. He cherished the time he spent with them, whether it was working on a remodeling project, playing with Oliver, watching the 3 kids play with each other, or simply laughing and enjoying life.

Professionally, Armen had a natural talent for fostering success at both large companies and small startups. He was passionate about building and creating markets, and was one of the best in the business to bring an early technical product to market. Throughout his life, Armen was guided by a strong sense of integrity, morality, and dignity in everything he did.

Armen will be remembered as a person of incredible strength and character, with a great sense of humor and a heart full of love and kindness. He was a true friend to those who knew him, and his passing leaves a void in the lives of those who loved him.

Armen was predeceased by his father, Raymond Kopoyan, brother, Kevork George Kopoyan, and uncles, John and Gerard Kopoyan. He is survived by his mother, Virginia (Gorgodian) Kopoyan, his children Oliver, Sophie, and Alexander, his wife Yan and a loving extended family. His grandparents were proud immigrants to the United States and Armenian Genocide survivors.

Gatherings to celebrate Armen's life will be held both in New York City and where he grew up in Worcester. All who knew him are invited to come together to honor his memory and share their memories of this remarkable man.
