RUTLAND – Raymond C. Kline, 94, of 199 Pommogusett Road, died Wednesday, July 20, 2005, in UMass Memorial Healthcare.
He leaves behind his son, Edward C. Myska and his wife Nancy of Manhattan Beach, California; a daughter, Paula Kline Morris of Worcester; three grandsons, Robert Myska, Mark Myska and his wife Maricruz of California, Dillion Kline of Worcester; a great-granddaughter, Sophia Myska of California; a brother, Fuller Kline and his wife Ethel of North Carolina; two sisters, Gertrude Windsor and her husband Fredrick of New Jersey and Orabell Wood of New York; and many loving nieces and nephews. A son, Barry Kline died in 2000, and a brother, Floyd Kline, predeceased him. He was born in Mechanicsville, New York, son of Edward and Nellie (Fuller) Kline.
Mr. Kline worked for many years at Norton Company in Worcester. He also worked for Rural Cemetery in Rutland and was owner and operator of the Rutland Ski Area from 1960-1973. He was a 65-year resident of Rutland, a member of the First Congregational Church of Rutland, the Rutland Sportsman’s Club and the Council on Aging. He loved to fish and hunt and was well liked by all.
A memorial service for Mr. Kline will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, July 25, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. A reception will follow. Burial will be private in Rural Cemetery, 142 Main Street, Rutland. Donations may be made to the Lunch Program, Friends of the Rutland Council of Aging, 250 Main Street, Rutland, MA 01543.
