S Alice (Rascon) Conger

June 15, 1948 — July 30, 2007

WORCESTER – Alice (Rascon) Conger, 59, of Main Street, Worcester and formerly of Los Angeles, CA, died Monday, July 30, 2007, in Saint Vincent Hospital, Worcester, after an illness.

Her husband, David Conger, predeceased her. She leaves her sons, John-Joseph E. Marderosian of Woburn and Michael A. Marderosian of Oxford; her daughter, Jeannine M. Gilbert and her husband of Colchester, CT; her former husband, John E. Marderosian of Worcester; two brothers, Oscar Rascon of Dallas, TX, and Raul Renteria of Los Angeles, CA; five sisters, Lupe Rascon-Maldonado, Guillermina Zamorro, Irene Rascon-Renteria, Betty Gatewood, and Maria Renteria all of Los Angeles, CA; four grandchildren, Rebecca, Avery, Morgan, and Nathaniel; and a fifth grandchild expected any day; many nephews and nieces. A brother, Hector Rascon, predeceased her. She was born in El Paso, Texas the daughter of Thomas and Rebecca (Renteria) Rascon and lived in Worcester since 1978. She was a member of the Holden Chapel, volunteered her time at the Genesis Club in Worcester and was a devoted mother and homemaker.

A memorial service will be held for Alice at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 13th, in the Holden Chapel, 279 Reservoir Street (Rte. 31), Holden. Burial will be private in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue (Rte. 56), Paxton. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alice Conger Memorial Fund, 48 Lake Avenue, Apt. NE #2, Woburn, MA 01801. Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden is directing arrangements.
