LEOMINSTER - Ralston H. Adams, 58, of 21 Cotton Street, died Saturday, July 9, 2005, in the River Terrace Health Care in Lancaster, after a 3 year battle with prostate cancer.
He leaves his loving wife of 13 years, Melodie E. (Graves) Adams; a son, Shawn M. Adams and his wife Joanne of Lancaster; a daughter, Tina Cherie Dickson and her husband, James of Hubbardston; two brothers, Charles Adams of Whitinsville and Christopher Adams of Marlboro; three grandchildren, Maggie Adams and Mariah and John Dickson. A sister Margaret Adams, predeceased him. He was born in Washington D.C., son of Ralston and Muriel (Barney) Adams and lived in Leominster for the past 14 years. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War.
Mr. Adams worked for River Terrace Health Care in Lancaster and as a C.N.A. III at Cushing Hospital. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Leominster. He was an avid reader of history, an advocate against animal abuse and an advocate against child abuse.
The memorial service for Mr. Adams will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 29, in the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 445 Union Street, Leominster. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701. Miles-Sterling Funeral Home, 100 Worcester Road, Sterling is directing arrangements.
