RUTLAND - Ralph L. Berardi, Jr.,67, loving husband, brother and a proud U.S. Army Veteran, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at UMass Medical Center - University Campus in Worcester. Born in Milford, he was the son of Ralph L. and Therese M. (Damplo) Berardi.
Ralph spent his early years in Franklin, graduating from Franklin High School. Soon after, he joined the U.S. Army and served as Sgt. 1st Class. He also served in the Rhode Island National Guard before retiring in 1999. After serving, Ralph worked at Intel Corporation in Hudson for many years and most recently was employed by Partners Home Health Care as a medical equipment installer.
Ralph enjoyed traveling to Aruba, Florida and visiting beaches throughout New England. He enjoyed fishing and working on home improvement projects. Most importantly, Ralph cared deeply for his family. He enjoyed having a cigar with his brother and inviting family over for a swim in the pool.
He will be lovingly missed by his wife, Sandra L. (Doolittle) Berardi, his stepchildren Nathaniel Raskett, Zakarya Raskett and Kimberly Irvin, his sister, Donna Flavin and her wife, Claudia of Washington, his brother, Stephen Berardi and his wife, Brenda of Shrewsbury; his sister Terry Manseau and her husband, Mark of Holden and sister Christine O'Donnell and her husband, Terry of Texas. He is predeceased by his son, Sean Michael Berardi.
A memorial service will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his name may be made to The Doug Flute Jr. Foundation for Autism PO Box 2157, Framingham, MA 01703. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home, Greater Worcester Funeral Care.
