Biography
WORCESTER – R. Mildred (Cohen) Zuckerman, age 99, died on Monday, June 12th at Christopher House. Her husband, Donald Zuckerman, died in 1981. She leaves a step-daughter, Anne, wife of Lawrence Kaplan of Pennsylvania; her cousins, Ami and Mirana Blay, Yoav Blay and his wife, Gali August of Tel Aviv, Israel, Elisheva Koen Adek of Rehovat, Israel; and her close friends, members of the Benson family, the Crocker family, the Tucker family and Connie Capstick. She was predeceased by her brothers, Jackson and Joseph Cohen and by her sister, Sarah Cohen. She graduated from Bartlett High School in Webster, MA. She received a Bachelor’s Degree at Worcester State College and a Masters Degree in Education from the University of Connecticut. She attended Clark University graduate school, majoring in Geography. She taught geography at Dudley Junior High and Shepherd Hill Regional High School. She was born in Dudley and was a daughter of Benjamin and Jennie J. (Cohen) Cohen and moved to Worcester 27 years ago. GRAVESIDE FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 11:00AM ON FRIDAY, JUNE 16TH IN WORCESTER HEBREW CEMETERY ON CEMETERY ROAD IN AUBURN UNDER THE DIRECTION OF RICHARD PERLMAN OF MILES FUNERAL HOME OF HOLDEN. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
