S Nancy P. (Turse) Deangelo

WORCESTER ~ Nancy P. (Turse) DeAngelo, 86, of Worcester, died peacefully on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 in UMass Memorial Healthcare, Memorial Campus, Worcester after an illness.
Her husband, Mark DeAngelo, predeceased her. She is survived by her daughter, Rose DeAngelo of Worcester; many nephews and nieces, including MaryAnn Cooke of Bay Village, Ohio; and several grandnephews and grandnieces. Three brothers and four sisters predeceased her. She was born in Hazleton, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Daniel and Rose (Viola) Turse and lived in Worcester for 50 years.
Mrs. DeAngelo graduated from Worcester City Hospital School of Nursing and was a licensed practical nurse at Worcester State Hospital for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her nephews and nieces. She loved singing, listening to music and was an avid Celtics fan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 4, 2010, in Christ the King Church, 1052 Pleasant St., Worcester. There are no calling hours and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to UMass Memorial Hospice, 650 Lincoln Street, Worcester, MA 01605. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden.
