RUTLAND / WEST BOYLSTON - Priscilla "Pat" L. Johnson Knox, 92, died peacefully on Saturday, July 11, 2020. She was born and raised in the town of Mexico, Maine and later lived in Rutland, West Boylston and Manchester, Connecticut.
Pat was known for her caring and energetic spirit throughout her life. After graduating from Mexico High School she chose to pursue a degree in Nursing from Rumford Community Hospital School of Nursing. Pat had a passion for nursing which was abundantly conveyed to her patients and colleagues during the years she worked as a nurse at Holden Hospital. After her nursing career Pat served as Director of Human Relations and Labor Relations for Inner-Tite Corp., formerly Olson Manufacturing, retiring in 1990.
Pat was proud to have been the Past President of the Worcester County Republican Women's Club. She was also the owner of "The Doll Closet", which helped to fulfill her passion for sewing. She attended the First Congregational Church of Rutland. She had a magnetic personality and those who met her would surely have found a new friend. Her loving and caring spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Pat was predeceased by her husband of nine years, Chester S. Knox in 1992. She will be lovingly missed and remembered by her sons, John C. Johnson and his wife, Josephine of East Brookfield and Brian E. Johnson and his wife, Dianne of Jefferson; her daughter, Caroline F. Johnson of Manchester, CT; step sons, Gary Knox of Boylston and Alan Knox and wife Cindy of Spencer; step daughters, Virginia Ekblom of Boylston and Shirley Bussolari and her husband, Don of Boylston; eleven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a calling hour from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden (appropriate COVID-19 protocol will be observed including face masks and social distancing). Burial will follow at Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Church St., West Boylston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Veteran's Inc., 69 Grove Street, Worcester, MA 01605.
