HOLDEN – Phyllis M. (Samuelson) Krumbiegel, 82, passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at the Odd Fellows in Worcester after an illness. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Anders and Edith W. (Anderson) Samuelson and graduated from Commerce High School.
Her loving husband of 43 years, Herbert R. Krumbiegel, passed away in 1999. She leaves a son, Robert H. Krumbiegel and his wife, Kim of Holden; and two grandchildren, Kristen and Joshua Krumbiegel. She was predeceased by a brother, Robert Samuelson.
Phyllis was a secretary in the nursing department at Anna Maria College in Paxton for many years before retiring. Previously, she worked at Norton Company, Heald Machine and at one time worked for Dr. Richard Meyer. She was an active member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Holden, the Vasa Order of America, 611 Nordic in Worcester and was a member of the Finish Heritage Society, Sovittaja in Rutland.
A memorial service for Phyllis will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 5, in the Immanuel Lutheran Church, 346 Shrewsbury Street, Holden, MA 01520. A private committal service will be held at a later date at All Faiths Cemetery in Worcester. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church.
