AKRON, OH – Phyllis F. (Freilich) Levey, age 87, died peacefully on Saturday, April 20th, at Camella Living, surrounded by the loving presence of her family.
Phyllis was born in the Bronx, the daughter of Joseph and Edith (Salitsky) Freilich. She lived most of her life in Worcester, where she and Mel raised their family. They retired to Lake Worth, Florida many years ago, moving in recent years to Ohio.
Phyllis will be lovingly missed and remembered by her cherished daughter, Sharon (Levey) Silver and her husband, Dr. Kevin of Akron, Ohio; her son, Alan Levey of Boca Raton, Florida; her brothers, Arnold Freilich and his wife, Sandra of Lake Worth, Florida, and Stuart Freilich and his wife, Phyllis of Worcester; and her beloved granddaughters Taralyn Deraleau and her husband, Aaron, and Rachel Silver.
Family and friends gathered on Monday, April 22nd at B’nai Brith Cemetery in Worcester for a graveside funeral service. Arrangements were under the care of Miles Funeral Home of Holden.
