Phillip F. Molloy

PRINCETON – Philip F. Molloy, 80, of 275 Mirick Road, died peacefully on Saturday, July 2, 2005 in his home.

He leaves nine nephews and nieces including John F. and Mary (Lynch) Cadwallader with whom he lived, and several cousins including The Rev. Paul Nelligan a Jesuit Priest at Holy Cross College. A brother, John J. Molloy, and two sisters, Martha Smith and Mary Cadwallader, predeceased him. He was born in Boston, raised in Watertown, later lived 25 years on Long Island and 24 years in Princeton.

Mr. Molloy taught high school English for 25 years on Long Island. He was a member of Prince of Peace Church in Princeton. During World War II, he was an officer with the Merchant Marine and served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy in the European Theater.

The funeral Mass for Mr. Molloy will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 9, in Prince of Peace Church, 1 Worcester Road (Rte. 31), Princeton, with The Rev. Paul Nelligan concelebrating. Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, July 8, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Prince of Peace Church, P.O. Box 305, Princeton, MA 01541.
