RUTLAND – Philip C. Nicholas, 80, passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at St. Mary’s Health Care Center surrounded by his loving family after an illness. He was born in Clinton, the son of James and Frances (Liazer) Nicholas and had lived in Rutland since 1969.
He leaves his loving wife of 60 years, Ramona S. (DeGreenia) Nicholas; a daughter, Linda D. Kuzian and her husband, Daniel of Rutland; a son, Alfred J. Nicholas of Florida; three grandchildren, Lance Perran, Julie Anne Nicholas and Heather Kuzian; and nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his son, Philip M. Nicholas in 1988.
Philip was an electronic technician for many years in the Worcester County area and owned and operated his own home electronic business in Rutland. He was an accomplished bass player and was the lead singer of his family’s country band.
A private committal service will be held at Rural Cemetery, Rutland. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary’s Health Care Center, Attn: Michele Flamand, 39 Queen St., Worcester, MA 01610.
