WORCESTER – Stephen P. Farrington, 50, of 26 Saffron Drive, died peacefully at home with his loving family by his side on Wednesday, October 1, 2008, after an illness.
He leaves his beloved wife, Diane M. (Fournier) Farrington; two sons, John Farrington, his wife Jennifer of Holden and Thomas Farrington of Worcester; three daughters, Elizabeth Parent, her husband David of Worcester, Jolene Farrington of Newport Beach, CA, and Julie Farrington of Worcester; his mother, Avice (Whittaker) Farrington Jarvis, her husband Gary of Shrewsbury; a brother, Kurt Farrington of Worcester; a sister, MaryAnn Puzo of Dudley; a granddaughter, Brooke Farrington of Holden; many nephews and nieces. He was born in Worcester, son of the late Philip N. Farrington, Jr., was raised in Holden and lived many years in Worcester.
Stephen was a graduate of Wachusett Regional High School and earned a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Northeastern University in Boston. He was a Civil Engineer and Project Manager for Waterman Design Associates, Inc. in Westborough since 2002. Previously he worked over 15 years for Land Design, Inc. in Shrewsbury. Stephen was intensely passionate for his work and his professional career. He loved his family and friends more than anything; enjoying the time he spent with them boating, fishing, vacationing and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. followed by a private family service on Saturday, October 4th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. Memorial donations may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West, Floor 6, Brookline, MA 02445.
