HOLDEN/STERLING – Peter E. Rezuke, 51, of Main St., Jefferson, died on Saturday, July 27, 2013, from injuries received while riding his motorcycle in Morgantown, West Virginia. Born in Worcester on August 8, 1961, Peter was the son of Edmund and Nancy T. (Piirainen) Rezuke and lived in Sterling before moving to Jefferson in 1998.
Pete graduated from Wachusett Regional High School in 1979. He later attended UMass Lowell, New England College, and graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He started his career at Komtek in Worcester where he worked for 26 years. In 2005, he went to work at Micron Products in Fitchburg as an engineer and operations manager.
On Halloween day, October 31st of 2003, Peter married the love of his life, Susan, who he met several years earlier and lovingly referred to as the “the old bag”. Peter and Susan enjoyed each other’s company did everything together including riding their Harley Davidson motorcycles whenever the weather permitted. In 2002, they joined the International HOG Association and affiliated with the Leominster HOG Chapter #1870. Pete was an active member and was Treasurer and Head Road Captain and Safety Officer for the HOGs. He was known for his award winning “flaming hot” chili which generally had to be tamed for consumption.
Pete loved to make people laugh with his goofy antics and was always there with a helping hand for those less fortunate. He was proud of his wife Susan and coached her in competitive body building which lead to her winning both regional and National awards. He will be sorely missed by all and will remain always in our hearts.
He is survived and will be lovingly missed by his wife, Susan (Sweryda) Rezuke; his mother, Nancy T. Rezuke of Sterling; three step-children, Arielle Nielsen of Pensacola, Florida, Daniel Pelissier of Sarasota, Florida, and Zachery Pelissier of Worcester; two step- grandchildren, Seraphina Pelissier and Gideon Bures; and many cousins.
A remembrance service honoring Pete’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Sunday, August 4, at the Miles-Sterling Funeral and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Rd., Sterling, followed by a procession to the Eagle’s Club Hall, 456 Litchfield St., Leominster for a reception. Casual dress is recommended.
