HOLDEN – Peter K. Glockner, 54, passed away suddenly on Saturday, March 31, 2018. He leaves his wife and best friend, Jessie (Boardman) Glockner; a loving son, Liam M. Glockner; as well as an extended family of siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Pete grew up in Princeton and lived in Holden for the past 23 years. He was a smart, hard-working man, who forged his own path and set ambitious goals for himself at an early age. Despite how hard he drove himself, he was an exceptionally generous person. He always made a big deal out of little kids and took the time to visit with older adults just to brighten their day. He truly enjoyed helping others and rarely asked for anything in return except their friendship.
During his career, Pete mastered many trades, including heavy equipment, elevator, carpentry, and water systems maintenance and operations. Most recently, he worked for the MWRA, which he joined in 2008.
A memorial service will take place on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the First Congregational Church of Princeton, 14 Mountain Road, Princeton. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Liam Glockner Scholarship Fund c/o Leominster Credit Union, 20 Adams Street, Leominster, MA 01453.
