Peggy L. Day

July 21, 1953 — March 6, 2012

STERLING – Peggy L. Day, 58, of Meetinghouse Hill Road, died on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at Clinton Hospital. She was born in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of John Bonnet and Lois Kennedy, and moved to Sterling in 2000.

Peggy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and will always be remembered for her gentle, kind and selfless nature. She was a member of The College Church of Seventh-day Adventists at Atlantic Union College in South Lancaster.

She is survived and will be greatly missed by her beloved husband of 32 years, Fredrick A. Day; a daughter, Alexis R. Day of Sterling; a son, John P. Mohr and his wife Emily of Somersworth, New Hampshire; three brothers, Jim Ploessl, Tom Nolan and Tim Cashett; four sisters, Cindy Engler, Lori Thill, Cory Ploessl and Penny Goedken; three grandchildren, Hayley, Dane and Damien; many nephews and nieces.

A funeral service celebrating Peggy’s life will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, March 10, at The College Church of Seventh-day Adventists at Atlantic Union College, 337 Main Street, South Lancaster. A graveside service will take place at Dubuque Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Dubuque, Iowa. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Massachusetts General Hospital and sent to Diabetes Clinical Trial, c/o Dr. Denise Faustman, Immunobiology Laboratory, Massachusetts General Hospital-East, Building 149, 13th Street, CNY-3601, Charlestown, MA 02129. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Miles-Sterling Funeral and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road, Sterling.
