HOLDEN – Michael P. Dombrowski, 39, of 324 Salisbury Street, died at home surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, February 13, 2007, after an illness.

He leaves his wife, Cynthia L. (Boucher) Dombrowski; two sons, Peter L. and Brandon M. Dombrowski of Holden; a daughter, Stephanie Marie Dombrowski of Holden; his mother and step-father, Naomi (Malooly) Andre and Barry Andre of Auburn; his paternal grandmother, Ingeborg A. Detzner of Holden; four brothers, Mark Dombrowski of Worcester, John McMenemy of Hudson, Kenneth McMenemy of Thompson, Connecticut and David McMenemy of Leominster; a sister, Michelle Buzzell of North Brookfield; his step-father, Jack McMenemy and his wife Sandy of Worcester; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina, son of the late Peter W. Dombrowski, and lived in Holden since 1970.

Mike graduated from Worcester Technical High School in 1986. He attended Fitchburg State College and was an instructor and teacher in the Painting and Decorating Department at Worcester Technical High School for 15 years. He owned and operated Michael P. Dombrowski Painting and Decorating Co. in Holden for 13 years. He was an on-call Holden Firefighter for 20 years and coached youth basketball for the Holden CRA. He also coached Junior Varsity basketball at Worcester Technical High School. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, karaoke, and was an enthusiastic “Yankee’s fan”.

Mike was a loving husband and father and will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, February 18, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. The funeral for Mike will be held on Monday, February 19, from the funeral home with a Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, 114 Princeton Street, Jefferson. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery, 119 Webster Street, Worcester.

At Mike’s request, flowers are to be omitted and donations be made to the Michael P. Dombrowski Scholarship Fund, a scholarship fund for students in the Painting and Decorating Department at Worcester Technical High School, c/o Worcester Credit Union, 1 Skyline Drive, Worcester, MA 01605. A benefit/fundraiser for the Dombrowski Family Fund will be held, as previously scheduled, at 7 p.m. on Saturday, February 17, in the Elks Lodge, 233 Mill Street, Worcester. Tickets are available at the door.
