WORCESTER – Donald P. Bagdonovich, 75, died Saturday, December 12, 2009 at the Westborough Healthcare Center after an illness.
His wife of 30 years, Carole B. (Anderson) passed away in 1989. He leaves his son, Brian P. Bagdonovich and his wife Rose of Medway; three daughters, Cheryl A. Tidman and her husband Chuck of Holden, Donna L. Balcezak and her husband Bill of Granby, CT and Kerry M. McDermott and her husband Paul of Holden; two brothers, Robert of Shrewsbury and John of Worcester; five grandchildren, Eric, Kelsie, Allison, Robby and Raymond; and his niece, Debbie Bennett.
A lifelong resident of Worcester, he was born the son of John and Bernice T. (Malinowski) Bagdonovich. A graduate of Worcester Boy's Trade, Donald was a Worcester baseball and football All Star. He was drafted by the Washington Nationals out of high school and played several years in the minors before being drafted into the Army. He then returned to Worcester to raise a family. Donald worked as an electrician for Morgan Construction Co for 40 years retiring in 1996. He was a member of St. George's Church.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 15th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. A funeral for Donald will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, December 16th, at St. George's Church, 38 Brattle Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, 162 Webster Street, Worcester. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
