WEST BOYLSTON/RUTLAND – Pauline J. (Turcotte) Messier, 90, beloved wife of the late Richard D. Messier, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at the Timothy Daniels House Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Holliston. Born in Fitchburg and raised in the Central, MA area she was the daughter of the late Calix and Yvonne (Hamel) Turcotte.
Pauline graduated from David Hale Fanning Trade School for Girls and went on to enjoy a long career as a talented seamstress and dress maker. Pauline raised her family in West Boylston and was a former member of Our Lady of Good Counsel where she worshiped for over 47 years. She was a member of the West Boylston History Club and enjoyed spending time at the Senior Center. In her spare time she could often be found sewing, gardening and traveling. Pauline moved to Rutland in 2000 and made many new friends and neighbors. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church and served on the Bereavement Committee for several years before moving closer to her family members in Medway.
She will be lovingly missed and remembered by her son, Mark and his wife Josephine of Medway, granddaughter, Chantel Messier Wolf, her husband Alex, Tewksbury, grandson, Michael Messier, Austin, TX and daughter, Cynthia Bradbury and her husband, Matthew of Springfield, VA; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband of 47 years, Richard, she was predeceased by two sons, Gary Messier and Stephen Messier; her sisters, Rita Bachand and Germaine Turcotte; and three brothers, Roger Turcotte, J.E. Paul Turcotte, and George Turcotte.
Arrangements are private and under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.
