Biography
WORCESTER – Pauline (Levey) Hoffman, age 85, formerly of Worcester, died on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 in the Golden Living Center Dexter House in Malden.
Her husband, David Hoffman, died in 1988. She leaves a son, Robert Hoffman of Tucson, AZ; a daughter, Linda, wife of George Rainville of Winthrop; and two granddaughters, Lydia and Gabby Rainville. She was predeceased by a brother, Hi Levey and by her two sisters, Freda Diamond and Marilyn Levey.
She was born in Worcester, a daughter of Louis and Rose (Harris) Levey, and lived here nearly all of her life.
She was a longtime member of Temple Emanuel Sinai.
With her husband, she owned and operated S. Hoffman & Son, manufacturers of textiles for many years, before retiring in 1983.
GRAVESIDE FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 1:00 P.M. ON SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 14, AT B’NAI BRITH CEMETERY ON ST. JOHN’S ROAD IN WORCESTER UNDER THE DIRECTION OF RICHARD PERLMAN OF MILES FUNERAL HOME OF HOLDEN.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Jewish Healthcare Center, 629 Salisbury Street, Worcester, MA 01609.
Memorial Observance will be held through Sunday afternoon, September 14 at Yeshiva Achei Timimim at 22 Newton Avenue, Worcester.
