Boylston – Paul D. "Crank" Wagner, Sr., 67, died peacefully with his loving family by his side, on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at UMass Memorial Healthcare – University Campus, Worcester. He was born in Holden, the son of the late Ralph O. Wagner, Jr. and Betty Lou (Ostberg) Wagner.
Paul was a long-time Boylston resident and graduated from Tahanto Regional High School with the class of 1973. He had a passion for motorcycles and classic cars which led to a career that spanned five decades as an auto body technician at Sunnyside Motor Co., Inc. in Holden. In his leisure time, Paul enjoyed spending time with his cats, friends and family, playing darts, horseshoes, pitch and fishing. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Paul is survived by his son, Paul D. Wagner, Jr. of Boylston; his brothers, Jeff Wagner and his partner, Kathy, Ken Wagner and James Wagner and his wife, Kelly of Boylston; his mother, Betty Lou (Ostberg) Wagner of Boylston; his nephews, John and Julian Wagner; his niece, Michelle Hamlett; and his former wife, Patricia (Orne) Ledoux.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend memorial calling hours from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, August 25, 2023, at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: The ALS Association PO Box 37022 Boone, IA 50037-0022, to fund research for ALS in support of Paul’s close friend Dave “Shakey” Taylor.
