HOLDEN - It is with great sadness that Debra Ann (Daniels) Shilale announces the death of her beloved husband, Paul John Shilale, who passed on April 6, 2021, after a long battle with cancer. Paul and Debra shared 38 blessed years of marriage together. In addition to his wife, Paul is survived by his two daughters, Courtney Gauthier and Stephanie Madeline along with Stephanie's two children Grace and Abigail.
Paul was born on September 18, 1951, in Worcester, as the fourth son to Peter C. Shilale and Barbara M. (Ginkus) Shilale. Paul is preceded in death by both of his parents as well as his oldest brother, Bernard Shilale. He is survived by two of his brothers, Richard and Thomas Shilale. He also is survived by his sporting "buddy" and son-in-law, Brandon Gauthier (husband to Courtney), with whom he shared his love for fishing and marksmanship. Although the rest of the very large Shilale and Daniels family members are not listed here, he has a special spot in his heart for all of them.
Paul graduated from Worcester Jr. College, Art Institute of Boston, and Emmanuel College and had a life career in graphic design. He was an entrepreneur for 25 years and won awards for his creative designs. Paul's hobbies were photography, archery, competition shooting, fishing, and pastel painting. His artistic talents recently won him membership into the Pastel Society of America. The beauty he created surrounds his wife in their home they shared together.
His family will not be having a memorial at this time. They will be holding a private celebration of his life later this year. Arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.
