BARRE – Paul H. Lam, 63, of 31 North Brookfield Road, died Wednesday, July 6, 2005, in Mary Lane Hospital, Ware, after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 18 years, Martha L. (Knight) Lam; his son, Mickael Martell of Whitman; four daughters, Katherine Letendre of New Braintree, Deborah Dupre of Brookfield, Lisa Holmes of Hubbardston, and Nadine Martell of Worcester; his mother, Phyllis J. (Misiaszek) Lam of Barre; a brother, Richard Lam of Barre; two sisters, Lorraine Castonguay of Barre and Dorothy Noble of Westfield; twelve grandchildren; nephews and nieces. A son, Timothy Grandmaison, died in 1994. He was born in Barre, son of the late Henry H. Lam, and lived in Barre his entire life.
Mr. Lam worked 22 years for G.K.N. Sinter Metals formerly Presmet Company in Worcester. He was a member of Local 8672 Steel Workers Union in Worcester. He loved fishing, hunting and most of all spending time with his family.
The funeral for Mr. Lam will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 12, in the First Congregational Church, 264 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Rutland. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue (Rte. 56), Paxton. Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, July 11, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Why Me?
