WORCESTER/HOLDEN – Paul G. Corbin, 80, of Housatonic Street, Worcester, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, October 12, 2010, in Rose Monahan Hospice Home, Worcester.
He leaves his wife of 55 years, Mary E. (Conrad) Corbin; his son, Daniel E. Corbin and his wife Wendy of Lubbock, TX; his daughter, Deborah M. Gill and her husband John of Navarre, FL; two brothers, Richard Corbin of Webster and Roger Corbin of Gloucester; two sisters, Dorothy Campbell of Ohio and Florence Tokarz of New Hampshire; 3 grandchildren, Sheree Corbin and Daniel and Andrew Sokol; and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a brother, Lawrence Corbin, Jr. and three sisters, Paulene Beckham, Frances Cook and Helen Fiske. He was born in Worcester the son of Lawrence and Hilda (Brochu) Corbin, Sr. and lived many years in Holden before moving to Worcester in 1987.
Paul was the Foreman in the Calibration Department at Alden Research Laboratories in Holden where he worked for 28 years. He was a member of the Burncoat Baptist Church in Worcester and the Chaffin Men's Club in Holden.
The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to Dr. Richard Angoff, and the staff at both Cardiology Associates and 2-South, UMass Memorial Healthcare-Memorial Campus, Worcester, for all their compassionate care and support.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 14th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 15th in the Burncoat Baptist Church, 475 Burncoat Street, Worcester. Burial will be private.
