RUTLAND – Paul E. Leonard, 60, of Pommogussett Road, died peacefully at home on Monday, February 18, 2008, after a long illness.

He leaves his best friend and devoted wife of 23 years, Karin M. (Helle) Leonard; a son, Jason A. Leonard of Paxton; a daughter, Stacey A. Leonard of Worcester; a sister, Dolores Gould of Holden; four grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. Two brothers, Chester and Richard, and two sisters, Helen and Pauline, predeceased him. He was born in Worcester son of Chester P. and Mary H. (LaBelle) Leonard and lived in Holden and Paxton before moving to Rutland in 1979. Paul enjoyed woodworking, hunting and fishing and was a past member of the Rutland Sportmen's Club.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, February 22, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. A Service of Remembrance will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 23, in the Rutland Sportmen's Club, 75 Pleasantdale Road, Rutland. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Cancer Center, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Att: Office of Development, 330 Brookline Avenue, Boston, MA 02215.
