WORCESTER/SUTTON – Paul E. Bjorkman, 94, of Worcester, a 25year resident of Sutton, died Tuesday, August 25, 2009 in the St. Mary Healthcare Center, Worcester.
His wife of 67 years, Helen L. (Jacobsen) Bjorkman died in 2007. He leaves a son, S. Richard Bjorkman and his wife Shelah of Sterling; two daughters, Jane C. Brothers of Princeton and Jean M. Walsh and her husband Thomas of Shrewsbury; 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two sons, Paul J. and David S. Bjorkman and a grandson, Mark Bjorkman. He was born in Worcester, the son of John E. and Evelyn C. (Barry) Bjorkman, and was a graduate of North High School.
Paul was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II. He was a former transportation owner, Teamster truck driver and member of local 170 Teamsters Union. He loved to golf and play horseshoes.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, September 3rd at All Faith's Cemetery, 7 Island Road, Worcester. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden is directing arrangements.
