FRAMINGHAM/WORCESTER - Paul E. Chute, 82, formerly of Worcester, died peacefully on Wednesday, February 15, 2012, under the loving care of his family and the staff at Mary Ann Morse Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Natick. He was born and raised in Worcester, the son of Elbert R. and Mary B. (Burns) Chute and lived the last 14 years in Framingham.
Paul graduated from Commerce High School in Worcester and worked 30 years for Colonial Press in Clinton until his retirement in 1978. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1951 to 1957 and served in Korea where he received the Korean Service Metal with two Bronze Stars.
His wife, Theresa (Dumas) Chute died in 1978. He is survived by his two daughters, Paula J. Amiralian and her husband, Alan and Anne M. Moncada and her children, Elizabeth and Benjamin, all of Framingham; four step-daughters, Cheryl Norwood, Laureen Landgren, Karen Osowski and Lisa Lindstrom; a sister, Marie Williams and her husband, Norman of Boylston; several step-grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; several nephews and nieces. A brother, William Chute, predeceased him.
Paul was a devoted family man and enjoyed time spent with his animals over the years, especially Snoopy.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, February 19, at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. A private graveside service will be held at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden Street, Worcester, MA 01606.
